Assaf Afek Levy has more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and IT operations and currently serves as Chief Information Security Officer at GFL Environmental. He previously led the Cyber Security team at Altus Group, a global provider of commercial real estate services and software, and held progressive cybersecurity roles at financial institutions and boutique consulting firms.
In addition, Assaf taught a cybersecurity course at Toronto Metropolitan University for six years, mentoring hundreds of students and professionals entering the field. He has held the CISSP certification for over 20 years and maintains several additional certifications from ISC2, ISACA, and the EC-Council.
