| Martin Mattsson is the Director of Strategic Accounts and responsible for the Waste & Recycling industry at Volvo Construction Equipment NA. He has 20 years of experience within the heavy equipment industry working in various roles for Volvo Construction Equipment in North America. Prior to taking over the Waste & Recycling industry in May 2014 and joining the Strategic Accounts team he held roles as District Business Manager and District Product Manager; covering primarily the southeastern United States and was the interface between Volvo and its dealer network. Martin acts as the voice of the customer in the development of Volvo’s purpose-built equipment for the Waste & Recycling industry and continues to enhance its portfolio for Transfer Station, MRF, Organics and Landfill applications. He’s currently leading pilot testing initiatives of Volvo’s emerging technologies including fully electric heavy equipment. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF) and have served two terms as Chairman of the EREF Auction Committee. Volvo and Martin are annual sponsors of EREF’s live & silent auctions. Martin is further active in the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) and serves on its Supplier Board of Governors as Vice Chair. He’s the former Chair of the Nominations Committee and is the past Co-Chair of the Membership Committee. Martin also served on the Board of FILA (Future Industry Leaders Alliance) promoting leadership development in the Waste & Recycling industry. Martin resides in Arden, NC with his wife of 20 years; Destiny; and their two daughters; Selma (18) and Nora (13). |
