Sam Ares is the CEO of Anisoptera, where for the past two years he has led the company in building agentic and physical AI that makes sustainability practical, measurable, and autonomous. Before Anisoptera, Sam served as Sustainability Engineer at Owens Corning, where he led the sustainability program for the company's core business unit and is a co-inventor on two patents for sustainable shingle technology. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Procter & Gamble as Packaging & Sustainability Lead Engineer for Latin America. Sam holds dual bachelor's degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Puerto Rico–Mayagüez. He believes that change is only lasting if it's economically viable. In other words, sustainability must be sustainable.
