Scott Lukach is the President, CEO, and Co-Founder of Apex Waste Solutions, a Colorado-based waste and recycling company built on a foundation of customer service, operational excellence, and environmental stewardship. Since co-founding Apex in 2022, Scott has led the company’s rapid strategic growth, building it into the largest independent waste and recycling firm in the State of Colorado. Under his leadership, the company has completed nine strategic acquisitions over the last two and a half years, significantly expanding its footprint and delivering tailored, flexible solutions to communities and businesses across the region.
With more than 28 years of experience in the waste and recycling industry, Scott brings deep expertise in sales and operational leadership, mergers and acquisitions, and long-term strategic growth initiatives. Throughout his career, he has partnered with large municipalities across North America to advance environmentally responsible waste and recycling programs, driving both operational performance and sustainability outcomes.
Under his guidance, Apex has invested heavily in modern recycling infrastructure, safety-focused education initiatives, and innovative service models designed to support Colorado’s evolving environmental goals. This includes a commitment to increasing diversion rates and expanding local recycling capacity through state-of-the-art facilities.
Scott is actively engaged in industry leadership and policy development. He serves as a National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) Service Board of Governors - Chapter Alternate and is a member of the Detachable Container Association (DCA) and Recycle Colorado. He also serves as the Auction Committee Chair for the Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF), supporting research that advances sustainable waste management practices.
Outside of his professional work, Scott is a dedicated husband and father of three.
